Photocatalytic and antibacterial activities of Tl–Hg–I nanocomposites: sonochemical synthesis and characterization

In this work, Tl4HgI6/HgI2 nanocomposites were synthesized by a rapid ultrasonic method. The photocatalytic properties of the nanocomposites were evaluated for the first time. Photocatalytic properties were performed for six industrial dyes.

The effect of 2D tungsten disulfide nanoparticles on Lewis lung carcinoma cells in vitro

WS2 2D nanoparticles show no cytotoxic and/or cytostatic effect on Lewis lung carcinoma cells after one day incubation. Only after two days incubation we registered cytotoxic effect. Cells incubated with 2D WS2 nanoparticles have luminescence in the blue spectral region.

High mass loading flower-like MnO2 on NiCo2O4 deposited graphene/nickel foam as high-performance electrodes for asymmetric supercapacitors

A NiCo2O4/MnO2 heterostructure with high mass loading MnO2 microflowers was built on the surface of 3D graphene/nickel foam for the preparation of an asymmetric supercapacitor with splended energy density (45.9 Wh kg−1).
