Novel scalable aerosol-assisted CVD route for perovskite solar cells

A perovskite solar cell is produced using the scalable technique aerosol-assisted chemical vapour deposition for the first time. This is achieved by using a 2-step process with lead acetate as the lead source and methanol as the solvent.

Near-room-temperature reversible giant barocaloric effects in [(CH3)4N]Mn[N3]3 hybrid perovskite

We report giant reversible barocaloric effects in [(CH3)4N]Mn[N3]3 hybrid organic–inorganic perovskite, near its first-order cubic-monoclinic structural phase transition at T0 ∼ 305 K.

Origin of Sn(II) oxidation in tin halide perovskites

Distortion induced structural characteristics of Ba2R2/3TeO6 (R = Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu) double perovskites and their multifunctional optical properties for lighting and ratiometric temperature sensing

Monoclinic (P21/n) structure of B-site ordered double perovskites Ba2R2/3TeO6 (R = Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) is elucidated from XRD, Raman and IR spectroscopy. The maximum relative temperature sensitivity of Ba2Y2/3TeO6:Eu3+ between 300–500 K is 0.18% K−1.

Origin of pressure-induced band gap tuning in tin halide perovskites

Structural and optical high-pressure study of FASnBr3 revealed a cubic to orthorhombic phase transition near 1.4 GPa accompanied by a huge band gap red-shift from 2.4 to 1.6 eV, which is followed by a blue-shift of ∼0.2 eV upon further pressure increase.
