About this collection

We are delighted to share with you the papers presented at our Faraday Discussion on Designing New Heterogeneous Catalysts which took place in London, UK in April 2016. A record of the live discussions will be published around three months after the event.

The theme of the meeting was the development of our fundamental understanding of key aspects of catalytic science, especially relating to catalyst preparation and production, the determination of atomic-architectures of active, reactive and de-activated catalysts and the modelling of the active site in catalysis - knowledge which is essential for the design of new catalysts.
