Flame-made Cu/ZrO2 catalysts with metastable phase and strengthened interactions for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol

The strengthened Cu–Zr interactions in FSP-Cu/ZrO2 were beneficial for the adsorption of bi-HCOO* and the generation of methoxy species (*OCH3) at the interface by enhancing Cu+ species and Ov compared to the one made by the traditional method.

Homolytic cleavage of diboron was achieved using diazabutadiene derivatives (DABs). The cleavage is accompanied by the formation of new π-bonds and the geometry of the product is highly dependent on the substituents on the DAB units.

Hygroscopic growth of simulated lung fluid aerosol particles under ambient environmental conditions

The hygroscopicity of simulated lung fluid particles is reported. Efflorescence and deliquescence transitions were measured, and phase hysteresis was observed. A multiphase particle is predicted to form under dry and low RH conditions.

Size-selective synthesis of platinum nanoparticles on transition-metal dichalcogenides for the hydrogen evolution reaction

Pt-MoS2 composites are fabricated via growing tunable Pt nanoparticles size (NPs, 2–6 nm) on single-layer MoS2 nanosheets. Which have shown excellent performance for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) with the Pt NPs exhibiting a volcano-type size effect toward mass activity due to the synergistic effects between the Pt NPs and MoS2.

Single- and double-helices of α,α′-dibenzylaminotripyrrin: solution and solid state studies
