Metabolic engineering for 4-aminophenylalanine production from lignocellulosic biomass by recombinant Escherichia coli

4-Aminophenylalanine as a diamine monomer to synthesize unique biopolyimides was produced from lignocellulosic biomass by microbial fermentation. Fermentation inhibitors present in lignocellulosic hydrolysate of sorghum bagasse were identified.

Bio-based vitrimers from divanillic acid and epoxidized soybean oil

Bio-based vitrimers based on dynamic transesterification were cured from divanillic acids and epoxidized soybean oil. These materials exhibited satisfactory thermal and mechanical properties, and could be reprocessed at high temperatures.

Phosphate-induced enhancement of fumarate production from a CO2 and pyruvate with the system of malate dehydrogenase and fumarase

The phosphate-addition induced improvement of the synthesis yield of fumarate from CO2 and pyruvate in an aqueous medium using a multi-biocatalytic system of ME from Sulfobus tokodaii and FUM from porcine heart in the presence of NADH was demonstrated.
