One-pot green synthesis of nitrogen-doped carbon nanoparticles as fluorescent probes for mercury ions
Fluorescent nitrogen-doped carbon nanoparticles (FNCPs) were synthesized by one-pot hydrothermal treatment of strawberry juice. The strategy was simple, green, and low-cost. Phosphorus-doped graphene nanosheets as efficient metal-free oxygen reduction electrocatalysts
An ionic liquid assisted one-step route was developed to prepare metal-free P-doped graphene nanosheets (P-TRG) by thermal annealing a homogeneous mixture of graphene oxide and BmimPF6. The P-TRG exhibited enhanced catalytic activity, long-term stability, high selectivity for the four-electron reduction of O2, and excellent tolerance to methanol and CO poisoning in alkaline media, outperforming or comparable to commercial Pt/C catalysts.
