Chemo- and regio-selective enzymatic lipophilisation of rutin, and physicochemical and antioxidant properties of rutin ester derivatives

Enzymatic acylation of the flavonoid disaccharide rutin was achieved using Candida antarctica lipase B. Lipophilicity of the rutin esters produced increased with increasing alkyl chain length, yet antioxidant properties were unaffected.

Study on the chemical reactivity difference of primary hydroxyl groups in iridoid glycosides

Two methods of computer simulation and experiments were used to explore the difference of primary hydroxyl groups in iridoid glycosides, which indicate that the chemical reactivity of hydroxyl at C10-position is higher than that of the C6′-position.
