Surface etching to tune the behaviours of photogenerated charges on a decahedron BiVO4 crystal for efficient photocatalysis

The {010} facets of the decahedron BiVO4 were selectively etched using sodium hydroxide solution, while keeping the {110} facets intact. This caused a reversal in the distribution of photogenerated electrons and holes.

Crystal phase engineering SiC nanosheets for enhancing photocatalytic CO2 reduction

PVP promotes 2H phase SiC generation on 3C-SiC nanosheets to form 2H–3C SiC heterophase junction. The tight interface of 2H–3C phase facilitates the separation of charge carriers, and enhances the photocatalytic reduction of CO2.

Two-dimensional Cu nanostructures for efficient photo-catalytic degradation of methylene blue

Rapid and toxic chemical-free usage reduction technique was developed for synthesizing Cu nanosheets. Cu nanosheets show better degradation efficiency in MB dye as compared to hybrid nanosheets synthesized using conventional expensive techniques.
