Prolycopene, a tetra-cis carotene with two hindered cis double bonds
Abstract
Prolycopene is shown to be 7,9,7′,9′-tetra-cis-ψ,ψ-carotene by application of 1H-n.m.r. spectroscopy at 270 and 360 MHz and by 13C-n.m.r. spectroscopy.
