Extrusions of 12CH3 and 12CH4 from the molecular ion of 13CH3CH2CH213CH3

Abstract

The loss of C-2 (or C-3) as methyl or methane from the butane molecular ion proceeds via concerted reactions and does not involve [methylpropane]+· as a reaction intermediate.
