Abstract

Correction for ‘Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HEAL9 attenuates cognitive impairment and progression of Alzheimer's disease and related bowel symptoms in SAMP8 mice by modulating microbiota-gut-inflammasome-brain axis’ by C. Di Salvo et al., Food Funct., 2024, 15, 10323–10338, https://doi.org/10.1039/D4FO02075H.

The authors regret the omission of the trademark in the investigated strain HEAL9®. This trademark should have been included in the following sentence in the Introduction section: ‘For instance, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum OLL2712, showed protective effects on memory functions in older adults with early memory deficits24 and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HEAL9 (HEAL9®) decreased inflammatory markers linked to acute stress in chronically stressed individuals’. In addition, the following sentence should have been included in the Acknowledgements section: ‘Probi is the owner of the proprietary strain Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HEAL9 and owns the registered trademark HEAL9®’.

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
