Abstract

Correction for ‘Wheel like supramolecular assembly of cyclam decorated gold nanoparticles induced by Cd2+’ by Tanuja Yeluri et al., RSC Adv., 2015, 5, 21511–21514, DOI: 10.1039/C5RA00777A.


The authors regret the 11 identical photographs for the vials containing Cd2+, Ni2+, Fe3+, Ba2+, Co2+, Cr2+, Cu2+, Pb2+, Zn2+, Mg2+ and Mn2+ ions in aqueous media in Fig. S7 which were included in the ESI in error. This was as a result of separate photographs being taken of each vial and 11 identical photographs then being combined in Fig. S7 in error. The authors were unable to provide unedited images for each solution and therefore the experiment was reproduced demonstrating the same colour changes. The corrected Fig. S7 is shown below as a single photograph and is from a repeated experiment. The ESI has been updated accordingly.

Fig. S7 shows naked-eye color images of C–Au-NPs in the presence of 12 equiv. of various metal ions in aqueous media.
