Transformation of FeIIITMP N-oxide to a two-electron oxidized equivalent of FeIIITMP complex (TMP = 5,10,15,20-tetramesitylporphyrin)

Abstract

The reaction of FeIIITMP N-oxide (1a) with an excess amount of trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) gave a two-electron oxidized equivalent of FeIIITMP via a protonated form of (1a), and the product is assigned to be a FeIIITMP dication complex.
