Abstract

The compound [Os7(µ-H)2C(CO)19](1) was isolated in good yield by vacuum pyrolysis of [Os3(µ-H)3(CO)9(µ3-COMe)], deprotonation of (1) gives [Os7(µ-H)C(CO)19]–(2); the structures of (1) and (2) have been established by X-ray crystallography.
