Electrochemical study of incorporation of silver vapour into α-silver sulphide

Abstract

An electrochemical study has been made of the transfer of silver vapour into a pressed tablet of α-Ag2S. The value of the incorporation coefficient g at 300°C was 0.98 ± 0.05. A possible lower limit for the exchange current between silver in the adsorbed layer and in α-Ag2S is discussed.
