Solid-state studies. Part III. Raman- and infrared-active carbonyl stretching vibrations of 1,3- and 1,4-dimethylbenzenetricarbonylchromium

Abstract

The solid-state Raman- and i.r.-active carbonyl stretching vibrations of 1,3- and 1,4-dimethylbenzenetricarbonylchromium have been analysed using a factor-group approach. As found previously, for benzenetricarbonylchromium, the data indicate that intermolecular interactions are comparable in importance to intramolecular coupling.
