Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of some monosubstituted triphosphonitrilic chlorides

Abstract

Proton, phosphorus-31, and (in two cases) fluorine-19 n.m.r. spectra of six monosubstituted cyclic compounds N3P3Cl5X where X = F, OCH3, OCH2·CH3, OCH2·CF3, OCH(CH3)2 or N(CH3)2 have been analysed. The 31P chemical shifts and coupling constants are qualitatively related to the electron-withdrawing power of X.
