About this collection
This volume of Faraday Discussions comprises the papers presented and a record of the live discussions which took place in Mumbai, India in January 2016. It focuses on research in the rapidly evolving field of nanoparticle self- and driven assembly, enabling greater understanding of how evolving developments in the fundamentals can be translated into principles underpinning applications.
The volume encompasses three distinct classes of materials where nanoparticle assembly holds significant potential for applications, with a view to determining common features of structural organisation on the nanoscale, and considers the implications of these ideas for the broader field of soft matter.
