About this collection
We are delighted to bring you this Themed Collection on Perovskites, Guest Edited by Michael Hayward (University of Oxford), Nam-Gyu Park (Sungkyunkwan University) and Peter Slater (University of Birmingham). Perovskite materials are ubiquitous in a range of areas, e.g. magnetism, ionic and electronic conduction, catalysis. Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites have also attracted an explosion of interest due to their potential applications in low cost solar cells. Research in all these areas has shown the flexibility of the perovskite structure, which allows the structure and properties to be tailored through appropriate chemical manipulations on both cation and anion sites.
