Upconversion nanoparticle-assisted cationic and radical/cationic hybrid photopolymerization using sulfonium salts

Abstract

Several sulfonium salts as efficient unimolecular photoinitiators capable of initiating upconversion nanoparticle-assisted cationic and radical/cationic hybrid photopolymerization are reported. The obtained luminescent polymeric materials, with curing depths of more than 10 cm and good network uniformity, are dual-wavelength responsive and show great potential in sensing and anti-counterfeiting applications.
