[Sn3OF]PO4vs. [Sn3F3]PO4: enhancing birefringence by breaking the R3 symmetry and realigning lone pairs

The novel tin(II) phosphate compound [Sn3OF]PO4 exhibits significantly greater birefringence compared with [Sn3F3]PO4nobv. = 0.117 versus 0.027@546 nm), achieved by breaking the undesirable symmetry and reorienting stereochemically active lone pairs.

Enantioselective assembly of tetrahedral Zr4(embonate)6 cages in zeolitic frameworks for synergetic circularly polarized luminescence

The chiral resolution of Zr4L6 cages has been achieved using enantiopure coordination cations, and an cage-supported SOD-type supramolecular zeolite framework was prepared, which demonstrates synergistic CPL output with glum values of 1.5 × 10−2.

Supramolecular delivery of dinuclear ruthenium and osmium MCU inhibitors

The mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) inhibitors Ru265 and Os245 were functionalized with adamantane to make them amenable for encapsulation in cucurbituril. The resulting host–guest complexes were investigated for their biological properties.

In situ formation of CeO2 coupled with hollow NiCo-LDH nanosheets for efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

A facile in situ modification strategy was developed to create a unique NiCo-LDH/CeO2 hollow nanosheet. The formation mechanism and photocatalytic hydrogen production performance of the heterostructure catalyst were thoroughly investigated.

A mixed-valence CuI/CuII metal–organic framework for CO2 conversion

A CuI/CuII mixed-valence metal–organic framework with a rarely reported (3,4,4)-c network topology has been prepared. It can effectively catalyze the cyclization reaction of epoxides or propargyl amines with carbon dioxide.

About this collection

This year, we are delighted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers!

This special collection celebrates and thanks members of our community who have supported the journal over the last 10 years, including those who have served as members of ICF’s Editorial and Advisory Boards. We are honoured that these authors helped ICF get to where it is today and continue to share their latest discoveries with us.

We believe ICF will continue to be a home of innovative, and impactful inorganic chemistry research for many years to come and hope you enjoy reading the diverse range of papers featured in the anniversary collection.
