Effect of steric hindrance on the interfacial connection of MOF-on-MOF architectures

This work investigates how the interfacial strain effects occur in an interface of a MOF-on-MOF. The series of synthetic experiments and computational results revealed the importance of the proximity in each chemical connection point in a MOF-on-MOF system.

Sequence-dependent fusion dynamics and physical properties of DNA droplets

Physical properties of DNA droplets formed by liquid–liquid phase separation of DNA nanostructures were investigated at a phase transition temperature. The surface tension was strongly influenced by the design of sticky ends.

Ultra-thin membrane filter with a uniformly arrayed nanopore structure for nanoscale separation of extracellular vesicles without cake formation

We achieved filtration of an extracellular vesicle (EV) enrichment sample using a nanoporous and ultra-thin membrane structure (NUTS). It allows precise control of the pore size of the membrane via MEMS, enabling accurate size-based isolation.

Nanostructure-induced L10-ordering of twinned single-crystals in CoPt ferromagnetic nanowires

Nanostructure-induced L10-ordering of twinned single-crystals in CoPt ferromagnetic nanowires on Si/SiO2 substrates is demonstrated, where nanostructure-induced L10-ordering is driven by ultrasmall 10 nm-scale curvature radii of the nanowires.

Zn-assisted modification of the chemical structure of N-doped carbon dots and their enhanced quantum yield and photostability

Zn-assisted N-CDs (denoted as Zn:N-CDs) obtained by the addition of Zn(OAc)2 to precursors during the synthesis of N-CDs not only exhibited an enhanced quantum yield but also improved photostability compared to those of N-CDs.
