Recent advances in electrochemical C–H bond amination

Abstract

C–H bond amination is one of the most important reactions in organic synthesis. In recent years, organic electrochemistry has gained significant attention as it utilizes electrons as clean, sustainable redox reagents rather than traditional chemical oxidants and reductants. Consequently, electrochemical C–H amination has emerged as an active research area. This review categorizes recent representative works on electrochemical C–H amination from 2012 to the present based on the hybridization (sp3, sp2) of the carbon atoms involved. Organizing the recent developments will allow readers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the advances in the field of electrochemical C–H amination over the past decade.
