Donor-extended tripodal pyrroles: encapsulation, metallation, and H-bonded tautomers

Abstract

A tripodal iminopyrrole provides an environment suited to the encapsulation of water through hydrogen-bonding, and the formation of metal complexes by deprotonation and iminepyrrole tautomerisation.
