Matrix suppression in sea-water analysis using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with mixed gas plasmas

Abstract

The addition of nitrogen to the nebulizer gas flow (in ICP-MS analysis) has been used to eliminate polyatomic interferences and improve detection limits for various metals in sea-water.
