Synthesis of boron-doped carbon nanotubes by thermocatalytic decomposition of ethanol using a floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition method: kinetic study

The effect of different reaction parameters helped in understanding the structure–property relationship in B-doped CNTs. A plausible reaction kinetic model and a reaction mechanism were proposed for the FCCVD synthesis of BCNTs.

Characterization of axial dispersion in a vertical helical coil for gas–liquid–liquid flow at low Reynolds numbers

The RTD of a helical coiled reactor was determined from light absorbance by the tracer step input for various cases of flows. The axial dispersion was quantified in terms of dispersion coefficients using the axial dispersion model.

Production of aromatics from butanol over Ga-promoted HZSM5 catalysts: tuning of benzene–toluene–xylene and ethylbenzene (BTEX) selectivity

The present investigation demonstrates the conversion of n-butanol to aromatics (BTA) including building block aromatics over Ga modified HZSM5 catalysts in a fixed bed reactor under varying process parameters (temperature, pressure, and WHSV).

Energy optimization of bio-oil production from biomass by fast pyrolysis using microwaves

Microwave fast pyrolysis leads to higher bio-oil production for flax shives than other biomass. An high heating rate and an optimum energy input are required for maximum bio-oil production. Gas and oil composition is stable with operating conditions.
