Benzyne formations and reactions with amines under solvent-free conditions in a mixer mill
Treatment of Kobayashi's o-trimethylsilylphenyl triflate with tetrabutylammonium fluoride hydrate (TBAF·H2O) generates benzyne in a ball mill. With amines, N-phenylated products are formed.

Mechanochemical templated synthesis of mesoporous alumina-supported polyoxometalate catalysts toward selective oxidation of sulfides
We report a green, solvent-free mechanochemical method for mesoporous alumina-supported polyoxometalate catalysts. They exhibit a high surface area of up to 644 m2 g−1 and exceptional reactivity for sulfide oxidation, across multiple cycles.

Fluorination of mechanochemically synthesized metal–organic frameworks for PFAS adsorption in water
Two isoreticular MOFs were mechanochemically synthesized and evaluated for their uptake of two different PFAS in water. The incorporation of fluorine atoms in one of the frameworks was found to enhance its affinity for these pollutants.
