Long-range coordination engineering in nickel single-atom catalysts to boost the electroreduction of CO2
Abstract
The practical application of Ni-single atom catalysts (Ni-SACs) is hindered by their insufficient intrinsic activity. Long-range coordination engineering via Cl/S doping in the higher-order coordination shells (≥2) effectively modulates the electronic structure of Ni-SACs to strengthen the *COOH binding, thereby enhancing eCO2RR activity toward CO.
