Inhibitors of myo-inositol monophosphatase containing methylenebisphosphonic acid as a replacement for a phosphate group

Abstract

Replacement of the phosphate group in 2β,4α-dihydroxy-1β-phosphoryloxycyclohexane 1 with methylenebisphosphonic acid gives 11, a potent inhibitor of myo-inositol monophosphatase.
