Electrochemical evidence for the formation of an oxygenated Fe–edta complex

Abstract

Electrochemical data have revealed evidence for the formation of an oxygenated species of FeII–edta complex in the presence of oxygen, and this should be a true active species for DNA degradation in the FeII–edta–O2 system.
