Carbohydrate derivatives of 1-substituted 1,2,3-triazoles. Part II

Abstract

D-Arabinohexosulose bis-(p-methoxybenzoylhydrazone), bis-(m-chlorobenzoylhydrazone), bis-(m-bromobenzoylhydrazone), bis-(p-bromobenzoylhydrazone), and bis-(p-iodobenzoylhydrazone) were acetylated and oxidised to the 1-α-benzoyloxybenzylideneamino-1,2,3-triazoles (II). These were then hydrolysed to the corresponding 1-benzamido-1,2,3-triazoles (III). The properties of saccharide bis-(acylhydrazones) were compared with those of aryl osazones.
