Polyamine Promotes Electrochemical Reduction of CO2 to HCOOH Catalyzed by Manganese Terpyridine dicarbonyls Complex
Abstract
Amine plays multiple roles, such as CO2 trapping agents, proton shuttles, or facilitators of CO2 reductions through formamide derivatives. Herein, we reported the design, synthesis and characterization of a series of manganese terpyridine dicarbonyls derivatives (1-5) covalently attached with proximal polyamine moiety. Among these polyamines, 1,4-diazepane promotes the CO2 reduction to formic acid with observable higher rates.
