Abstract
The fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI), which has the ability to recognize and adhere to fibroblast activation protein-α (FAPα) within tumor tissue, enables precise targeting of tumor locations. Consequently, it is imperative to explore its diverse applications in imaging techniques, particularly in the realm of fluorescence imaging probes, which play a pivotal role in the precise localization of tumor sites. In this study, we have successfully conjugated FITC with FAPI, greatly enhancing its capacity for targeted tumor imaging. The efficacy of FITC-FAPI hinges on the highly specific interaction between the enzyme and its inhibitor. Notably, the residence time of the fluorescent probe within tumor tissue is significantly prolonged compared to the surrounding healthy tissue, resulting in a substantial enhancement of the targeted imaging effect on the tumor. Upon excitation by a 488-nanometer laser, the probe emits a robust fluorescent signal, showcasing its potential in the field of tumor diagnosis. This innovative tool holds promise of aiding healthcare professionals in more accurate tumor detection and diagnosis, and providing robust support for personalized tumor treatments.
