Stable and reusable Pd-nanoparticle catalyzed synthesis of symmetrical and unsymmetrical 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds

Abstract

A highly stable and reusable Pd-nanoparticle (Pd-BNP) catalyzed oxidation of 1,2-diarylalkynes to 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds using DMSO as an oxidant has been developed. The Pd-BNP catalytic system also successfully oxidized the alkenes and deoxy benzoin derivatives to the corresponding 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds without using any external additives.
