A highly-efficient, stable, and flexible Kapton tape-based SERS chip

Abstract

A flexible SERS chip fully covered with silver (Ag) nanoparticles is obtained using a one-step metal thermal deposition on Kapton tape, which exhibits ultrasensitivity, high-uniformity, and importantly long-term SERS stability for up to 4 months under polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film packaging. The practicality is further demonstrated using pesticide residue detection on fruit surfaces.
