Cationic porous organic polymers as an excellent platform for highly efficient removal of pollutants from water

Abstract

The construction of efficient adsorption materials for the removal of pollutants from water is of primary importance for environmental protection. Here, we present a novel cationic porous organic polymer C-NSANaphHCP@Br, that features a permanent porosity with a high surface area and moderate pore volume, and exhibits excellent chemical stability. More importantly, the new cationic network was found to be an excellent platform for the removal of anionic organic dyes and Cr2O72− from water with rapid adsorption rates, excellent selectivity and high efficiency, as well as good recyclability.
