Cu nanocrystal enhancement of C3N4/Cu hetero-structures and new applications in photo-electronic catalysis: hydrazine oxidation and redox reactions of organic molecules

Abstract

Cu nanocrystals (NCs) are considered an important kind of material for practical application, however their enhancement of photo-electronic catalysis is less reported owing to their lower activity and large overpotential. Herein, a C3N4/Cu hetero-structure was prepared for studying the photo-electronic catalysis of hydrazine oxidation and redox reactions of methyl orange and ammonium formate. Cu NC enhancement of absorption and photo-electronic catalysis was proved, which provides the possibility of wider applications of Cu NCs.
