Morphology control of lysozyme crystal shapes by different block copolymers

Abstract

PEG or poly(PEGMA) mixed with lysozyme solution as mother liquor, could not produce any lysozyme crystals, but polymers PDMAEMA, PDMAEMA–b-poly(PEGMA-OH) and PDMAEMA–b-PBMA–b-poly(PEGMA) could; PDMAEMA–b-poly(PEGMA-OH) can modulate the form of the crystal morphology depending upon its concentration in the mother liquor.
