Synthesis and applications of amphiphilic fulleropyrrolidine derivatives

Abstract

The most successful strategies for dissolving fullerenes in polar solvents by means of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides to C60 are reviewed. The preparation of the fullerene derivatives is discussed together with their properties and applications in different fields.
