A novel synthesis of substituted bicyclo[2.2.2]octenones and 3,3-sigmatropic shift: a general and stereoselective entry into functionalized cis-decalins

Abstract

Synthesis of bicyclo[2.2.2]octenones 4a–d, 9 and their Cope rearrangement to substituted cis-decalins 3a–d, 12, is described.
