Synthesis and structure of the (tetrahydroxy)oligosiloxane [(tBuO)3SiOSi(OH)2]2O
Abstract
The solid-state structure of the (tetrahydroxy)oligosiloxane [(tBuO)3SiOSi(OH)2]2O, synthesized by the hydrolysis of (tBuO)3SiOSiCl3, reveals molecules composed of four vertex-linked SiO4 tetrahedra and containing four SiOH groups involved in both intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen-bonding.
