First 1H NMR observation of chair–boat conformers in bispidinone system. Molecular structure of 3,7-diisopropyl-1,5-diphenyl-3,7-diazabicyclo-[3.3.1]nonane-9-one

Abstract

In the solid state bispidinone 4 exists in a CB conformation and in solution undergoes rapid degenerate interconversion CB←→BC as revealed by variable temperature 1H and 13C NMR studies.
