Synthesis, characterization and molecular structure of a triruthenium carbonyl cluster containing both phenylimido and nitrosobenzene ligands
Abstract
The µ3-imido cluster [Ru3(CO)10(µ3-NPh)] reacted with an excess of nitrosobenzene in tetrahydrofuran to give [Ru3(CO)7(µ3-NPh)2(µ-η2-ONPh)2] which consists of a triruthenium metal core capped on two sides by two phenylimido ligands with two nitrosobenzene moieties bridging the two non-bonding Ru ⋯ Ru edges via the nitroso group.
