Diphenylphosphinomethanide complexes of chromium(II) and samarium(III): preparation and characterization of the dinuclear [Cr{Ph2PC(H)PPh2}2](µ-Cl)[µ-C(H)(PPh2)2][Cr{Ph2PC(H)PPh2}] and mononuclear pseudo-allylic Sm[η3-Ph2PC(H)PPh2]3

Abstract

Reaction of lithium bis(diphenylphosphino)methanide with CrCl2(thf)2 and SmCl3(thf)3 led to the formation of an unprecedented dinuclear mixed-coordination complex [Cr{Ph2PC(H)PPh2}2](µ-Cl)[µ-C(H)(PPh2)2][Cr{Ph2PC(H)PPh2}]1 and mononuclear Sm[η3-Ph2PC(H)PPh2]32, respectively.
