Separation of photogenerated redox species in zeolites via ion-exchange

Abstract

The ion-exchange properties of the zeolite are exploited to remove M V formed upon photolysis of zeolite Y containing encapsulated Ru(bpy)32+ and MV2+, thereby allowing ready access to the photogenerated product.
