Tri(biphenyl-4-yl)amine and tri(p-terphenyl-4-yl)amine as a novel class of molecules for amorphous molecular materials

Abstract

Starburst precursor molecules based on π-electron systems, tri(biphenyl-4-yl)amine and tri(p-terphenyl-4-yl)amine, are found to constitute a new class of amorphous molecular materials with relatively high glass-transition temperatures of 76 and 132 °C, respectively.
