Structure of the linear trinuclear copper complex, dichlorotetrakis-(di-2-pyridylamido)tricopper

Abstract

The synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of a nitrogen-bridged linear trinuclear copper complex [Cu3(dpa)4Cl2]{dpa = di-2-pyridylamido, [(C5H4)2N]}, with extremely short Cu–Cu bond distances [2.4712(4)Å] and tridentate dipyridylamido ligands in a novel syn-syn conformation are reported.
