Faraday communications. Rapid measurement of critical micelle concentrations by a flow technique

Abstract

Critical micelle concentrations have been measured precisely and conveniently by pumping a laminar stream of surfactant solution into a long capillary tube filled with solvent: the break in the refractive-index profile across the eluted boundary indicates the critical micelle concentration.
