Isotope effect of solvent on the equilibrium of formation of the nitrosonium/nitrous acidium ion

Abstract

By using two different substrates under various experimental conditions, the value KD/KH= 2.55 ± 0.28 has been found for the solvent isotope effect on the equilibrium of formation of the nitrosonium/nitrous acidium ion over the pH range 1–5.
