Isolation and characterization of the ‘strained’ cluster complex, (µ3-Bi)Co3(CO)6(µ-CO)3; the application of thermogravimetric analysis to rational cluster reactions

Abstract

The thermal decomposition of Bi{Co(CO)4}3 in refluxing tetrahydrofuran (THF) forms the closo complex, BiCo3(CO)9, the structure of which has been determined by X-ray analysis.
